Developing a web-based content management system (CMS) for online auctions. Client Operation USA, a California non-profit organization, is raising funds for tsunami aid in East Asia and wishes to auction items on their web site. Currently in development by three volunteers, the auction system is implemented in object-oriented PHP and uses the Smarty Templating Engine and AdoDB database abstraction layer. Developed under the GPL license. Used: HTML, PHP, Smarty templating system, AdoDB, MySQL, CVS.

A web-based 'game' for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts where players learn to balance taxes and spending in the Massachusetts budget in order to close a $3.2 billion dollar budget deficit. Developed by members of the Game Development Club at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Acted as the Lead User Interface Designer for the project. Led a small team of UI developers, produced game templates and backend PHP code, worked on browser compatibility, and fixed bugs in program code. Responsibilities included the producing the layout, graphics, and HTML. Used: HTML, PHP, Smarty templating system, Photoshop, Bugzilla.

Corporate web site for Progressive Data Systems. Researched and implemented shopping cart for web site. Worked with third party shopping cart developers to match the cart's look-and-feel to the existing site. Custom PHP development to let site visitors easily view dial-up phone numbers for company's national 56K dial-up internet access program. Completed some Information Architecture work, reorganizing the site's hierarchy. Completed Flash web site introductions, Flash movies describing the company's products and services, and general graphics maintenance work. Used: HTML, PHP, Perl, Photoshop, Dreamweaver. Site has since been redesigned.
